Investigation of nanotexture of corneocytes by atomic force microscopy

Together with Serend-ip GmbH, Münster, Germany, we have launched a novel service for investigating the nanotexture of corneocytes by atomic force microscopy of  healthy human or atopic dermatitis skin organ culture ex vivo, or in the humanized model for atopic dermatitis.

Nanostructure analysis of corneocytes can be used to investigate skin barrier integrity, dry skin phenotype, atopic dermatitis-like phenotype, re-establishment of skin barrier integrity and skin moisturization, protection from skin damage (e.g. UV induced), amelioration of atopic dermatitis lesions.

In addition, we also offer complementary analysis for investigating skin barrier integrity in situ.
