It is with great pride that the whole team of Monasterium Laboratory congratulates its Principal Scientist, Dr. Marta Bertolini, on her appointment to an Expertscape World Expert in Hair. As part of National Alopecia Areata Awareness Month (September 2021), this is an outstanding honoring of ten years of profound scientific contribution to hair research.

says Dr. Bertolini.
Dr. Marta Bertolini holds a PhD degree in Natural Science awarded at the University of Lübeck, Germany in 2014, with a thesis focusing on hair follicle autoimmunity executed under the supervision of Prof. Ralf Paus at the department of Experiment Dermatology. After her PhD, she continued working on skin and hair follicle-related projects in the lab of Prof. Paus, where she also served as Lab Chief. In 2015, she took over the academic lab of Prof. Paus at the University of Münster, and helped him in establishing Monasterium Laboratory. She currently serves as Principal Scientist and Deputy General Manager at Monasterium Laboratory. She is well-known in the dermatology field, and have created a great network of international collaborators. Her work has been published in many peer-reviewed international journals with high impact factor.
